July 26th and 27th

CapitalCamp is the DrupalCamp for Washington, DC! We bring together developers, designers, open gov advocates, IT managers and anyone that wants to find out more about Drupal.

Get up and running with Drupal Commerce Kickstart (DCK). It's easier than you think!
For this session, we'll:

- Review the pre-requisites for DCK.

In the vast majority of Drupal projects most of the site architecture is defined by clicking around in the admin area. This ends up being both extremely powerful and dangerous.

Want to use Drupal to build your own YouTube site? I'll show you how to use the Octopus distribution to create a Drupal site that you can use for video uploading and sharing.

You're stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to community modules. They're awesome and free but picking the right one can take a lot of trial and error.

Having a symbiotic relationship between UX and development is an amazing thing and often results in more work getting done faster, solidly designed products, and less stress on the team and budget. However, not everyone has this type of relationship and cultivating it has its challenges. We’ll share our insights on how to get this relationship off on the right foot, how to keep the momentum going, and the best ways to troubleshoot hurdles. We’ll go into how we’ve used digital prototyping to our advantage and how it fosters a stronger relationship between UX and development.
